V‑ZUG know-how: FAQ

Yes, you need a V-ZUG-Home login to use the app, or you can log in with your Google or Apple account.

The app runs on Android devices from version 10.0 and iOS devices (Apple) from version 13.0.

Access the user settings of your household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, V-ZUG-Home mode may be found in the settings, or you can consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance-specific instructions.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, find information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely in the V-ZUG app:

• Stop current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (link) for iOS or Google Play Store (link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the set-up instructions in the app

• Create or log in with your V-ZUG-Home account or use one of your social logins

Yes, an internet connection is required to fully utilise V-ZUG-Home and the V-ZUG app.

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or log in with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

Please ensure the following conditions are met:

• Ensure that the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check that the wi-fi symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on your household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect your household appliance?

• Is your smartphone/tablet connected to the wi-fi (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is “Location” enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct wi-fi network displayed? If not, the device may have poor wi-fi reception.

• Has the wi-fi password been entered correctly?

It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programs and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways to enable this feature in the future.

V-ZUG-Home mode is active, and the appliance is connected to the WLAN.

• Check if there is an active internet connection and if the appliance is accessible in the home network.

• Remove the appliance from your V-ZUG-Home account and try to reconnect it. If this fails, there is no connection to the server. Try again later.

• Problems may occur in certain networks, for example if a firewall is blocking the connection or if the network is weak.

Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.

If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on your mobile phone and try again.

Please restart the appliance and try again.

For security reasons, a Bluetooth connection is required for the initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. This means that it is only active while you are in the vicinity of the appliance.

The appliance’s wi-fi connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be on the same wi-fi network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active internet connection on your mobile phone or tablet.

There can be various reasons for this. The frequency and type of flashing provide information:

• Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no wi-fi connection. If the appliance has already been paired and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for “I cannot connect to my appliance.”

• Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and just indicates activity.

• Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, only active during pairing.

We recommend only using durgol swiss steamer for descaling.  Standard descaling solutions are not suitable as they may contain foam-creating additives or not be effective enough. Using a different descaler could cause overfoaming, inadequate descaling or, in extreme cases, damage to the appliance.

The appliance has one fluff filter and two filter mats. Since the gentle stream of air and extremely gentle treatment only remove a small amount of fluff from the fabric, the fluff filter only needs to be emptied occasionally. The appliance automatically detects when the fluff filter is heavily clogged. A notification appears in the display when the fluff filter needs cleaning.

The extent to which creases are removed very much depends on the type of fabric, as the fibre types all behave differently. Creases in textiles made from cotton and polyester fabric blends or wool, for instance, can be removed significantly more effectively than those in textiles made from linen, cotton or silk. A superior crease removal effect can also be achieved with cotton shirts labelled as “anti-crease” or “easy-care”.

The refresh program draws out and then eliminates odours from textiles using a combination of an elevated temperature and steam.

The cooking chamber is heated simultaneously by steam and hot air. The food is heated up or cooked by steaming. This feature is suitable for cooking vegetables, rice, cereal products, legumes and egg dishes, for poaching meat, fish and poultry, for making yoghurt and for sterilising. To keep cleaning to a minimum, it is best to slide the stainless steel tray under the perforated cooking tray and collect the small amount of residual water in it.

The hygiene program is designed for particularly sensitive items such as cutting boards and baby bottles.

Virtually all of them – but we advise against using the RefreshButler on water-sensitive fabrics such as fur or leather.

Recurring cycles of steam and special photocatalysis technology remove 99.99% of germs and bacteria from clothing.

With a heat pump tumble dryer, the drying takes place in a closed drum. The laundry is added to the drum and dried with the temperature of 55°C released by the integrated cooling circuit. With DualDry, the laundry is hung up on a washing line in the room. The DualDry blows dry air into the laundry items. They release the humidity into the room air. The humid room air is channelled via the evaporator installed in the DualDry. In doing so, the vapour in the air condensates on the cold evaporator surface. The dried and cooled air is then warmed up via the condenser and blown into the hanging laundry. DualDry uses the same heat pump to dehumidify the room air. However, the drying takes place at far lower temperatures.

As drying in a room takes place at low temperatures and the laundry in a room can be less efficiently streamed with air, drying laundry in a room can require slightly more energy than when drying in the drum.

A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. Steam is then introduced into the cooking chamber. The use of steam can improve heat transfer to the food. Incidentally, steam over 100°C is not visible. The program is particularly suitable for gratins, casseroles, meat, frozen products, chestnuts, puff and yeast pastry, bread and convenience products on 1 or 2 levels.

Extremely fast programs are offered at each convenience level. These programs last between 11 and 30 minutes depending on the convenience level.

Yes, the softener can be added separately in the right compartment even if detergent was chosen from the OptiDos drawer. This does not require any additional settings, as the detergent compartment on the right-hand side is rinsed for every wash.

We recommend checking the dosage setting of the selected OptiDos dispenser and, if necessary, adjusting it in accordance with the currently used agent. Here, we recommend the quantity stated by the manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry.

All-in-one tabs consist of pressed amounts of powder/rinse agent and salt. Because the substances are pressed, they cannot dissolve quickly enough to achieve their full cleaning effect when used in fast programs. The amounts of rinse aid and salt are also not enough to achieve the best possible cleaning result. This is why it is essential to add additional salt and rinse aid to the dishwasher! V-ZUG’s dishwashers are equipped with the All in 1 function, which can be used with tabs of any kind. You can activate this function for any V-ZUG dishwasher via the user settings. With this function, the dishwasher automatically extends the program duration by a maximum of 10 minutes for very short programs, and extends the final drying time by a maximum of 15 minutes. This enables the tabs to dissolve and achieve their full cleaning effect. The All in 1 function also automatically adjusts the use of salt and rinse aid, reducing it by 50%, and guarantees excellent cleaning and drying results every time.

We have chosen to dispense with fully extending runners to maintain our high standards with regard to perfect cooking results. These alter the microwave field significantly and result in localised changes to the heating of the food.

All woollens labelled as washable can be dried in the tumble dryer. The appliance uses a gentle drying process with adapted drum action and a low temperature (approximately 45°C).

The CombiCookTop V2000 is a sleek cooktop with a fully integrated extractor, now also available in a 60 cm width. It allows for drawer or storage space directly below the appliance, making kitchen planning more flexible. The grease filter is housed in a removable, dishwasher-safe cassette for easy cleaning. The activated charcoal filter can be lifted out easily, and two filter options are available: a long-life filter, which can be regenerated in the oven up to eight times for a service life of up to three years, helping to reduce maintenance costs; and a standard filter, which is replaced as needed and disposed of with household waste.

The software update improves coil performance, providing faster heating, especially with small pots (Ø 110–150 mm). Operation is now more intuitive, and existing FullFlex appliances can be easily upgraded via the V-ZUG app. The PowerPlus function is now displayed directly on the slider next to power level 9, making it quicker and easier to access the highest power.

The new knobs are made of high-quality anodised aluminium and come in Black, Platinum, and Pearl. They are durable, offer a premium look, include a prepared interface for easy connection, and can also be retrofitted later.

The FullFlex hob is available in Black, Platinum, and now also Pearl. The Black version features an even deeper shade for a smoother transition from the display to the frame. Platinum replaces the previous grey colour, offering a more refined and modern appearance. Pearl expands the design palette, providing additional flexibility for easy integration into kitchen designs.

Induction is the technology of the future: it is faster and more energy-efficient. One litre of water is brought to the boil in approximately two minutes. This is made possible by smart technology. Induction generates heat exactly where it is needed in the base of the pot. The glass around the heated cooking zone stays virtually cold, so no energy is wasted. An induction stove uses up to 40% less energy compared to other heating methods.

There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions and also in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water, in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. We also offer luxury refrigerators and freezers in the Supreme line, whose sheer space and flexibility make them ideal for stocking up.

As standard, we recommend entering the dosing volume of the detergent manufacturer for 4–5 kg of laundry, medium soiling and the local water hardness in the machine. In most cases, the recommended dosing volume of the manufacturer can be found in a table on the back of the packaging.

The break-proof glass shelves are height-adjustable, which means you can make space for larger items in your fridge. Some models have perfected the art of space saving: they feature divided shelves whose front half can be pushed towards the back of the fridge to free space for tall items on the bottom shelf.

Fish pans can be used without difficulty on any cooktop featuring a frying zone.

Cooktops that are fitted flush with the worktop achieve perfect aesthetic integration and create the impression of compact simplicity. Cooktops with a set-off glass frame (bevel-edged) have a very elegant appearance, while chromium steel frames and over-large frames (for replacements) impress with their simplicity of installation and their classic design. They fit in a wide variety of kitchen combinations.

Use a magnet to test whether your pans can be used with an induction cooktop. If the magnet sticks to the base of your pan, you’re ready to go, otherwise, the pan will not work with an induction cooktop.

The DualDry is extremely energy-efficient. In tumble drying mode, it meets the requirements for energy efficiency class A++ and in room air laundry drying, the requirements for energy efficiency class A1.

No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.

Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. The application provides support right from the process of the dough rising and creates the perfect environment for making the dough ready to bake in the shortest possible time. The combination of hot air and steam keeps the food from drying out while baking and achieves a golden-brown surface. It allows puff pastry dishes to achieve a highly aerated finish.

Our cookers, ovens and steamers are all classified in the most economical energy efficiency class A.

The energy saver program reduces the washing temperature by 5°C, which results in an energy saving of 10%.
