As part of your training, you will have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of areas, such as development, where you will be involved in implementing the latest electronic technology. You will also run qualification tests on the appliances to ensure everything works perfectly for customers. Your maintenance training will see you work alongside other team members to find solutions to malfunctions and carry out servicing work in our state-of-the-art production facilities. Other tasks include programming control systems and putting various programmes through their paces, as well as drawing up instructions and technical documents for automated equipment. While working in the training workshop, you will be even be involved in planning and implementing inter-company courses, not to mention ordering materials and helping with general organisation. Your work will consistently comply with regulations relating to occupational safety as well as health and environmental protection.

Training
The four-year training programme is divided into a basic training stage and an advanced training stage with a focus on locating and resolving faults affecting machines and equipment. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to consolidate what you have learned across eight different departments, all while attending compulsory vocational school classes up to twice a week. You may also work towards your vocational school diploma (Berufsmatura) in parallel to your apprenticeship, after consulting V-ZUG Ltd.
Requirements
Basic level of education (Volksschule; middle to upper stage of secondary school)
Good grades in mathematics and physics
Understanding of technology

Manual dexterity and an interest in new technologies and electrical engineering
