A smart climate sensor allows the food to be steamed in the best possible conditions, regardless of the amount. The colours are preserved perfectly. Ideal for a healthy and balanced diet.
Are appliance doors with AutoDoor a safety risk for unsupervised children?
No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.
How do I open the door of an AutoDoor appliance in the event of a power cut?
The appliance door can always be opened by hand. The best way to do this is to hold the top corners of the glass front and open the door by hand.
What is the «professional baking» function used for?
Bread, rolls and plaited loaves can be achieved at the push of a button using the professional baking application, delivering bakery-level quality. The application provides support right from the process of the dough rising and creates the perfect environment for making the dough ready to bake in the shortest possible time. The combination of hot air and steam keeps the food from drying out while baking and achieves a golden-brown surface. It allows puff pastry dishes to achieve a highly aerated finish.
What is the V-ZUG BakeOmatic?

Why is it important to have a selectable temperature range?
A freely selectable temperature range between 30 and 100 °C provides precise control for gentle cooking, helping preserve the texture, flavor, and nutrients of food. You can set the exact temperature needed for delicate foods such as fish, vegetables, custards, or chocolate. It is ideal for proofing dough, fermenting yogurt, reheating, or keeping food warm without drying it out. Fine temperature control also ensures consistent, reliable results for recipes that require precision.
How does the steam operating mode work?
The cooking chamber is heated simultaneously by steam and hot air. The food is heated up or cooked by steaming. This feature is suitable for cooking vegetables, rice, cereal products, pulses and egg dishes, for poaching meat, fish and poultry, for making yoghurt and for sterilising. To keep cleaning to a minimum, it is best to slide the stainless steel tray under the perforated cooking tray and collect the small amount of residual water in it.
How does the regeneration operating mode work?
The cooking chamber is heated by steam and hot air. The food is reheated gently without drying it out. This feature is suitable for reheating cooked food or for cooking convenience products and ready meals. Regeneration can be carried out simultaneously on several levels with no flavour transfer.
How does the hot air operating mode on the steamer work?
A heating element behind the hot air diffuser plate heats up the air inside the cooking chamber, which is circulated evenly. The feature is suitable for cakes, biscuits, bread and roasted meat on two levels. Set the temperature approx. 20 °C lower than for top/bottom heat.
Do I still need an oven if I have a steamer?

The CombairSteamer fits best in an existing niche (762 mm) for a standard oven or cooker. These appliances combine a complete oven and steaming functions. CombairSteamers offer all the steaming programmes of a steam cooker and the classic functions of an oven – such as hot air, top/bottom heat and grill. If expanding the niche is possible, we recommend the classic combination of a 45 oven and a 45 CombiSteamer, allowing you to benefit from the flexibility of having two cooking chambers.
How do I achieve perfectly tender meat?
The patented automatic soft roasting mode guarantees automatic, dynamic control over the food probe temperature. The meat becomes tender, stays juicy and is perfectly cooked. Combined with the new three-point food probe, the meat is prepared to perfection at the push of a button – cooking it to exactly the right level so that it can be served when you want.
How much does the water tank hold and what is easiest way to clean it?
The water tank holds one litre of water, which is sufficient for different steaming periods and is dependent on the temperature and the nature of the food. With Vacuisine, it is possible to reach over 48 hours of cooking time without having to refill the water tank. The water tanks in the Excellence Line can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
How does the hot air humid operating mode on the steamer work?

Any moisture escaping from the food is kept to a minimum within the cooking chamber. The food retains its moisture. The use of steam can improve heat transfer to the food. Incidentally, steam over 100 °C is not visible. Limescale deposits require a lot of cleaning – how do I deal with them?
The external steam generator ensures that the only thing that can get into the interior is steam. As steam doesn’t leave limescale residue, you don’t have to worry about this when using the V-ZUG steamer. Cleaning is made so much easier, as there’s no limescale to remove from the interior. What’s more, the water tank for the steamers in the Excellence Line has a perfectly smooth surface, which helps to prevent limescale deposits from forming.
How should I clean and empty my steamer after cooking?
After steaming, there will be both condense water in the cooking space and residual water in the internal water system. Once the cooking space has cooled to hand warm, use a soft cloth or sponge to remove condense water and any food particles. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. When the message, "Do not remove the water tank" disappears, the internal water system has emptied and the water tank may be removed, emptied and dried before reinserting. This should be done after a cooking session with steam. For dried-on soiling, the Steam cleaning or Intensive cleaning programmes make cleaning easier.
How are the external steam generators descaled?
The external steam generator indicates when it should be descaled. This is dependent on water hardness and the level of use. An automated descaling programme will guide you through the simple process.
Do the steamers have a cleaning programme?
The new Excellence Line steamers and combi-steam cookers can be cleaned with little effort thanks to the stainless-steel cooking chamber. Guided programmes remove the dirt automatically. For tough soiling, we have developed a special cleaning solution – the SteamerCleaner.
How often should a V-ZUG steamer be descaled?
The descale indicator only appears every 6 to 18 months depending on water hardness and level of use. The descale recommendation will not stop you using the appliance – you can continue to use it and choose when you descale it. The automatic descaling programme reduces the effort required to a few simple steps.
Is there a safer and more convenient way of removing the baking trays from the baking or cooking chambers?
The optional fully extending runner allows you to remove up to three baking trays safely and conveniently from the baking chamber. This is particularly practical when basting a piece of meat or for removing biscuits or a flan from the baking tray.
Is there not a risk of burning yourself on the door front?
All appliances are guaranteed to have low external door temperatures. In the case of normal ovens and steamers, a triple-layer glass door ensures safe operation while cooking. Pyrolytic self-cleaning ovens actually have a four-layer glass door concept. Thanks to the innovative door concept in the Advanced and Excellence Line, the door is ventilated with air from the room, thereby keeping the temperature of the outer door lower than it is for the standard models. What’s more, active appliance door ventilation also enables lower outer door temperatures for pyrolytic self-cleaning appliances.
What are the advantages of the Electronic Steam System (ESS)?
The advantages are clear – efficient, powerful, finely regulated and fast steam build-up, quick climate change, needs-based consumption of water and energy, water is pumped back into the water tank after the cooking process, and no stagnant water remains in the pipes.
Why is the interior of the V-ZUG steamer made from stainless steel?
Stainless steel is the only material that can be used for household appliances as it doesn’t rust when it comes into contact with water. All V-ZUG steamers are made with this material.
Why aren’t fully extending runners available as accessories for the PowerSteam?
Fully extending runners are not offered because they can affect the microwave field, leading to uneven heating and potentially compromising cooking results. By dispensing with them, we ensure consistently perfect cooking performance.
What is different with the new control knobs on the V2000 hobs?
The new control knobs offer intuitive, accessible operation with improved haptic and optional acoustic feedback. Supported by VisionAssist, they enable precise and simple control. Why and how often does the RefreshButler need to be descaled?
The appliance automatically detects when descaling is necessary. Which descaling solutions are suitable?
We recommend only using durgol swiss steamer for descaling. Standard descaling solutions are not suitable as they may contain foam-creating additives or not be effective enough. Using a different descaler could cause overfoaming, inadequate descaling or, in extreme cases, damage to the appliance.
What steps need to be taken if the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period of time?
If you are not going to use the appliance for an extended period of time, empty the water tank and open the appliance door.
When is it worthwhile installing an extra-high dishwasher?
An extra-high model offers space for plates with a diameter of 33cm. This means that an extra-high dishwasher makes sense if you want to use it for large plates, tall wine glasses or baking trays.
What colours are the CookTop V6000 FullFlex hob available in?
The FullFlex hob is available in Black, Platinum, and now also Pearl. The Black version has an even deeper shade for a smoother transition from the display to the frame. How exactly does the automatic programme work?
The automatic programme is capable of detecting what your dirty dishes need, thereby reducing the consumption of water, electricity and dishwater salt by up to 30%. The programme also works out how long the washing cycle needs to last. This could be anywhere between 50 and 85 minutes.
How are creases reduced?
Applying steam makes the textile fibres smooth, causing creases to unfold. Clothing is smoothed out using a combination of its own weight and a gentle stream of air.
What exactly is a water hardness controller?
The water hardness controller ensures that the water always has the ideal hardness. This makes the detergent more effective and ensures that the dishes and glasses are treated gently.
What control options does the CookTop V2000 offer?
The CookTop V2000 allows customers to choose between the modern V-ZUG single slider or a unique knob control solution. Both options feature an intuitive, attractive user interface. Do I still need to add a rinse aid to the dishwasher if I am using all-in-1 tabs?
Yes, absolutely. For optimum cleaning and drying results, we always recommend adding rinse aid to the dishwasher. The amount of rinse aid in the tabs is not sufficient to achieve optimum drying results.
What different types of fridges are available?
There are refrigerators with or without an internal freezer compartment, pure freezers, refrigerator/freezer combinations, and wine coolers. Under-counter refrigerators are fitted underneath worktops in studio apartments or small flats. Conventional refrigerators are integrated into tall cupboards. These are available as fully integrated versions as well as in White or Nero. The real colossus of the refrigerator world comes in the form of the FoodCenter, whose features even include an ice maker for ice cubes, crushed ice or iced water in addition to a gigantic refrigerator compartment. How does induction conserve energy?

What actions can I take to prevent undesirable odours?
To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking.What is the automatic run-on function?
Hoods with the automatic run-on function extract the remaining cooking vapours from the room for a specific time period (between 5 and 20 minutes) even after you have finished cooking and switched off the range hood. After that point, the range hood is switched off automatically. If the appliance is being used in recirculation mode, the activated charcoal filter can also carry out final drying of the furniture base – just like in range hoods that remove vapours by extracting them downwards (downdraft systems). The exhaust duct should be as short as possible and have as few bends and curves as possible. Ideally, it should have a diameter of 150 mm. Each additional metre added to the exhaust duct and each additional bend will create resistance, reducing the power of the range hood. A more powerful range hood cannot compensate for a poorly designed exhaust duct. This will only result in increased losses and noise levels. Reducing the diameter of the exhaust duct should be avoided where possible – due to the increased flow rate, this will also lead to increased noise levels.What is the purpose of the hot water and steam nozzle?
The nozzle produces hot water for tea and other hot drinks. It also lets you conveniently froth cold milk for a delicious cappuccino or hot chocolate.
What types of range hoods are there?
There are different solutions to suit you – whether you want your range hood to be an eye-catching design feature or for it to be discreetly integrated into your kitchen. What is EasyCook and how do the filter functions work?
The EasyCook function provides you with helpful default settings for over 100 selected foods – so you can cook quickly and with confidence even without a recipe. Simply select the desired food under EasyCook, and the appliance will immediately suggest one or more cooking methods. The selection of foods and recipes can be customised. The «Nutritional style» filter setting can be used to remove foods that are not required at the touch of a button. For example, meat can be deselected if the user is a vegetarian. The «National cuisines» filter, on the other hand, expands the range of dishes to include country-specific recipes and can be quickly adapted to your personal culinary style.
How do the hob hood and the hob with integrated range hood work?
Steam and odours rise at a maximum rate of one metre per second. The V-ZUG hob hood or hob with integrated range hood extracts the air using a cross current that is higher than the rising speed of the cooking vapour. As a result, cooking vapours and odours can be effectively extracted straight away at the hob.What about the consumption values / energy efficiency of ovens and steamers?
Our cookers, ovens and steamers are all classified in the most economical energy efficiency class A or better.
What do I need to consider with regard to the exhaust duct?
If possible, you should make sure that the duct diameter is at least 125 mm and ideally 150 mm. If there is no room for a round pipe, a flat channel with an equivalent cross section may also be used. The use of 90° pipe bends should be kept to a minimum. Narrowing cross sections and reducing pipes with a smooth inner surface should also be avoided. We recommend using short piping lengths, wall boxes with large slats and sufficient replacement air.What do I need to know about range hoods using recirculation air?
Compared with the extracted air solution, there is much less to consider for range hoods with recirculation air, particularly if you have chimney-based heating (such as gas, oil or coal-fired heaters, flow heaters, water heaters and open fireplaces). They are easy to install and they can be operated without restrictions if the range hood is used in recirculation mode with an activated charcoal filter. What are the benefits of microwave cooking?
Microwave ovens have many advantages, and even highly popular with demanding professional chefs. Tender vegetables, fish and meat can be cooked using only a small amount of water and without fat or salt. The result: healthy, low calorie meals whose vitamins are perfectly preserved. The food retains its natural colour and aspect as well as its nutrients and taste. You can quickly and gently defrost frozen food and prepare an entire meal in virtually no time at all.
Does the screen need to be pulled out on a built-in range hood for OptiLink to work?
The screen must always be pulled out to ensure the range hood can work at its best.
How often does the activated charcoal filter need to be replaced?
The activated charcoal filters can be easily removed and regenerated, depending on the model. The most efficient long-life plus activated charcoal filter, for example, can be regenerated in the oven every three to six months. The long-life activated charcoal filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher and then dried in the oven. Conventional activated charcoal filters need to be replaced every six months or so.Is it still necessary to soak encrusted gratin dishes and fondue pans in water over night?
The fondue/raclette programme provides a remedy for this. Caquelons and raclette pans become perfectly clean without soaking. To remove unpleasant odours, you can take the following steps. Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly. Select a more powerful programme, such as the Intensive programme. Refill the regenerating salt. Run the Pre-rinsing programme from time to time. Buy a commercially available dishwasher cleaner and add this using the Intensive programme.
What kind of regeneration salt do I need to use for the dishwasher?
You can use either fine or coarse-grained regular regeneration salt.

What is the capacity of a dishwasher?
Dishwasher capacity is given in the form of place settings, which constitute a standardised value. A place setting comprises a certain number of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, bowls and other items. Our dishwashers are able to accommodate between 12 and 14 place settings depending on the model.
What is the difference between integrated and fully integrated dishwashers?
With integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is visible. This is particularly useful for ChromeClass/AluClass models, as they also function as design elements.
