The IDI is a convenient way of dispensing ice cubes, ice chips and ice water. The sensor-controlled ice cube maker automatically provides the correct amount. The IDI is integrated into the fridge door instead of the freezer, which means you gain 20% of freezer space.

To make sure the range hood works as effectively as possible, switch it on three to five minutes before you start cooking. This allows an air flow to be established in the room so that vapours and odours can be conducted away quickly. To prevent the build-up of negative pressure and support the extraction of cooking odours, fresh air must be supplied at the same time. As a result, the following rules apply: always open a window when using air extraction solutions. Once you have finished cooking, keep the fan running for another five to ten minutes. Many range hoods have an automatic run-on function for this purpose. In particular, frying pans should be left under the range hood if they are still hot because they can still disperse odours even after you have finished cooking.

V-ZUG helps you to do this automatically thanks to the partial load water and energy economy function and EcoManagement. The latter shows you in advance whether your choice of programme is going to use large or small amounts of energy and water.  The OptiTime delayed start option also helps you to save lots of energy if you have a bit of spare time.

Extracted air range hoods require access to the outdoors. They convey cooking vapours directly outside into the open air via the metal grease filter. In a recirculation air range hood, the air is drawn in, cleaned using an activated charcoal filter and then conveyed back into the kitchen. This option is particularly suitable if there is no way to convey the cooking vapours from the range hood in your kitchen to the outside. Virtually all V-ZUG range hoods can be operated with either extracted air or recirculation air.

OptiDos can play a valuable role in your daily routine. You no longer have to think about dosing the detergent. V-ZUG has also made the operation and selection of the correct programme as easy as possible. 3 clicks are sufficient to start the washing machine with the desired programme and automatic dosing.

Mould is caused by excess humidity in the room. Whenever laundry is hung up, the room air laundry drying function should be started to remove the humidity from the room. Alternatively, the moisture control programme can also be selected.

You select a main programme with the press of a single button. This means all the required settings are automatically chosen. If desired, select additional functions by pressing the corresponding buttons. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the programme selected will start automatically.

Compared with the extracted air solution, there is much less to consider for range hoods with recirculation air, particularly if you have chimney-based heating (such as gas, oil or coal-fired heaters, flow heaters, water heaters and open fireplaces). They are easy to install and they can be operated without restrictions if the range hood is used in recirculation mode with an activated charcoal filter. To use recirculation mode, you must provide an activated charcoal filter – the filter absorbs unpleasant odours and ensures there is fresh air in the kitchen while you are cooking.

The DualDry was implemented in the Adora, as the air throughput was too low for a laundry room in an apartment building. Furthermore, the operating modes cannot run at the same time. If laundry is hanging up in the room and another tenant decides to use the tumble dryer, then this eliminates the possibility of room air laundry drying as the humidity within the room is no longer regulated.

The following liquid detergents may be added to each dispenser: Universal detergent, colour detergent, fine detergent, softener, wool detergent, baby detergent, detergent for black clothes, detergent for white clothes, outdoor detergent. The dispensers can be flexibly filled according to personal requirements. Both dispensers with detergent, both dispensers with softener, one dispenser of detergent and one dispenser of softener, only one dispenser used with detergent or softener. The dispensers are also easily emptied if necessary and filled with another agent.

Some range hoods are equipped with a warning light that shows you when the metal grease filter needs to be cleaned. The operating hours counter can be used to roughly estimate whether the metal grease filter is full or not.

Dishwasher capacity is given in the form of place settings, which constitute a standardised value. A place setting comprises a certain number of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, bowls and other items. Our dishwashers are able to accommodate between 12 and 14 place settings depending on the model.

Dishwashers with a customisable design have an operating panel in the same colour as the design elements.  With integrated dishwashers, the operating panel is visible and the lower part of the appliance adopts the colour of your kitchen. Fully integrated dishwashers feature an entire front in your kitchen's colour.

If there is sufficient space in a tall cabinet, an elevated position can be very useful as there is no need to bend down in order to load and empty the dishwasher. Just remember that the maximum length of the armoured hose is three metres.

Access the user settings of the household appliance and select the V-ZUG-Home function. Depending on the appliance, the V-ZUG-Home modus can be found in the settings or consult the V-ZUG-Home manual for appliance specific variations.

You will find the V-ZUG-Home configuration in the user settings of each V-ZUG appliance. From there, you can set the V-ZUG-Home mode, read information and restore the factory settings for V-ZUG-Home.

The following functions can be controlled remotely via the V-ZUG app:

• Stop the current program

• Send recipes and programs to your oven or steamer

• Adjust certain user settings on your household appliance

• Download the app from the Apple App Store (Link) for iOS or Google Play Store (Link) for Android devices and install it on your smartphone or tablet

• Follow the instruction of the onboarding in the app

• Create or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or use your social logins

To display your V-ZUG appliance, activate V-ZUG-Home in the user settings of your household appliance. Next, download the V-ZUG app on your smartphone or tablet, register or login with your V-ZUG-Home account or social login and connect your appliance in the app.

• Ensure the router is switched on and that the smartphone/tablet can access the home network. Check if the WLAN symbol is visible on the smartphone/tablet.

• Is V-ZUG-Home activated on the household appliance?

• Has the V-ZUG app been downloaded?

• Can the app detect the household appliance?

• Is the smartphone/tablet connected to the WLAN (home network)?

• Is Bluetooth activated on the smartphone/tablet?

• Is 'Location' enabled?

• Has the PIN been entered correctly (6 digits)?

• Is the correct WLAN displayed? If not, the device may have poor WiFi reception.

It is currently not possible to start the appliance remotely for security reasons. You must always confirm your selected programmes and recipes on the appliances in order to start them. We are developing ways in which to enable this functionality in the future.

• Check whether there is an active Internet connection and whether the appliance is accessible in the home network.

• Remove the appliance from your V-ZUG-Home account and try to reconnect it. If this fails, there is no connection to the server. Try again later.

• Problems may occur in certain networks, for example if a firewall prevents the connection or if the network is weak.

Please switch Bluetooth on and off again.

If this does not help, unpair all paired V-ZUG Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth menu on the mobile phone and try again.

Please restart the appliance and try again.

For security reasons, the Bluetooth connection is required for initial pairing and for functions that can only be carried out in the vicinity of the appliance. Therefore it is only active as long as you are in the vicinity of the appliance.

The appliance’s WLAN connection is always active. If remote access is not set up, you must be in the same WLAN network as your mobile phone or tablet. If remote access is set up, you only need an active connection to the Internet with your mobile phone or tablet.

There can be various reasons for this. The flashing frequency and type provide information about this:

• Slow flashing when the screen is switched on (1s on, 1s off): V-ZUG Home mode is active, but there is no connection to the WLAN. If the appliance has already been claimed and does not reconnect, follow the instructions for "I cannot connect to my appliance."

• Irregular, short flashes: Data is being transferred to the appliance. This is normal and only indicates activity.

• Rapid flashing when the screen is switched on (1/4s on, 1/4s off): Ready for Bluetooth connection, is only active during claiming.

No. If the appliance door reaches its stopping point or encounters resistance, movement is stopped. The appliance door is uncoupled from the drive at a certain angle and can be moved freely. If an appliance door with AutoDoor is stopped manually, you must press the button again or close the appliance door manually to reset it.

The optional fully extending runner allows you to remove up to three baking trays safely and conveniently from the baking chamber. This is particularly practical when basting a piece of meat or for removing biscuits or a flan from the baking tray.
